This 69-year-old woman suffered from rhinophyma. Rhinophyma is a form of acne rosacea where the oil glands of the nose enlarge and grow and cause deformation of the nasal shape. Dr. Brace used CO2 laser technology to sculpt the shape of the nose, removing the diseased tissue. This is a procedure that can be done under local anesthesia. There is a 2-4 week healing period after the laser treatment with a few extra months of fading redness, but even at 3 months, as seen here, the results are life changing.
