This beautiful 33-year-old woman was bothered by the lack of definition along her jawline and her neck shape. Dr. Brace performed a submentoplasty to contour the submandibular glands, the digastric muscles and the platysma muscle to create this beautiful and stunning profile. She is seen here 3 months out from surgery healing well. It is not uncommon to have swelling that will last 3-6 months after this procedure, and during this time the angles of definition in the neck get sharper and tighter. The only incision is 2cm long and is hidden under the chin. Dr. Brace uses a rigorous scar care protocol involving silicone scar gel, pusled dye laser and CO2 laser when needed to ensure the scar is as imperceptible as possible.
