This lovely patient was not ready for a surgical rhinoplasty but wanted to soften the bump on her nasal bridge with filler. We discussed a liquid rhinoplasty and she felt this was the best option for her at this point.
A liquid rhinoplasty uses hyaluronic acid to fill the low spot above the bump on the bridge. This makes the nose appear longer. Filler can also be placed at the base on the nose where it meets the lip to create the illusion of rotation. Finally a small amount of filler was placed on the tip cartilages to create a refinement of the tip by elevating the skin onto a narrower point.
Liquid rhinoplasty is a powerful tool in facial plastic surgery but does come with inherent serious risks which should be discussed with your injector. Seeing an expert injector with rhinoplasty experience and the ability to correct any complications from filler surgically is often the safest option when considering a liquid rhinoplasty
